Rocell Gercio-Chad, RDH
Rocell Gercio-Chad graduated from the dental hygiene program at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology in 2003. Her clinical skills were recognized with the Hu Friedy “Golden Scaler” award, and shortly afterward she became a member of the CRDHA as a practicing RDH in Alberta.
In 2005, she joined the prestigious Alberta Health Services, Foothills Hospital Special Needs Dental Clinic as a clinical hygienist. It was in her role at the hospital that she realized a passion for her profession, caring for all types of patients, and a desire for lifelong learning. Through her continued studies she has obtained prescription drug, and laser therapy qualifications.
In 2010, Rocell launched her own progressive dental hygiene practice located in northwest Calgary. Her clinic’s values focus on Leading Care, Trust, Respect, Results, and Community Focus; values that Rocell believes are essential to primary dental care.
Her community involvement includes volunteering with local preschools teaching oral health instruction, participation in the annual Gift from the Heart program for less privileged, and volunteering as an advisor in the Company Program by Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta.
In 2012, Rocell was elected to the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta Council. The CRDHA is the governing body that regulates the practice of dental hygiene in Alberta.
Rocell loves skiing, gardening and cooking for her wonderful family and friends.
Her motto is “always work smarter, not harder!”
